PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermochromic composition excellent in lightfastness which can develop a clear allochroic effect, and to provide thermochromic fibers which can maintain high lightfastness even when applied to fibers to be manufactured by high temperature processing.;SOLUTION: The thermochromic composition comprises three components of (a) an electron-donative coloring organic compound, (b) an electron-accepting compound, and (c) a reaction medium for determining the temperature for causing color reaction between the components (a) and (b), and a triazine-based ultraviolet absorbing agent.
