PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let a ground directional protective relay operate stably by setting a proper compensation capacitance of a compensation reactor according to a state of a system.;SOLUTION: A ground fault current suppression system includes a reactor 45 and a neutral point grounding resistor NGR 46 provided on a substation bus 50. A reactor current is distributed to each of feeders 51, 52, 53 via a first CT 452 according to a line charging current and a current of the NGR 46 is equally distributed to each of the feeders 51, 52, 53 via a second CT 462. In this system, a line-to-ground capacitance C after system switching is obtained based on information obtained from a distribution automated system 21, a line-to-ground charging current Ic is obtained based on the line-to-ground capacitance C, and a reactor current IL is obtained by multiplying the line-to-ground charging current Ic by ratio k, which is obtained by dividing a line-to-ground charging current IT obtained by an artificial ground fault test by a charging current IN obtained from a normal system.
