PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulating coil which has both of an excellent withstand voltage and an excellent conductor space factor and is economical as well and a square insulating cable for the above, and provide a method of manufacturing a square insulating cable.;SOLUTION: A conductor cable 1 of a round cross section after a drawing process is passed through a varnish tub 10 and a baking unit 20 to make an insulating cable 3 of a round cross section. A yield strength at 0.2% of the insulating cable shall be 100 to 200 MPa. The insulating cable 3 is cold rolled in a roller dice processing unit 30 in which press rollers (31a, 31b, 32a, 32b) are arranged so that a pressing can be done on the insulating cable 30 from four directions, and the conductor cable is plastic-deformed to make the cross section almost square and the square insulating cable 4 is obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
