PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, method and program for detection of a lane section line, capable of accurately detecting the lane section line, even when noise exists.SOLUTION: The device includes: an original image acquisition means which acquires an original image obtained by picking up the image of a traveling path from a traveling object traveling along the traveling path; a lane section line position detection means which detects the relative position from the traveling object, of the lane division lane included in the traveling path based on the original image; and a verification means which verifies the detection results of the lane section line position detection means based on the partial image of a first image being an original image at a time t0 and on the partial image of the past image being the original image in the past prior to the time t0.
