PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the stress corrosion cracking resistance of a high Mg Al-Mg based alloy having an excellent balance of strength-ductility and excellent formability.;SOLUTION: One or more kinds of transition elements selected from Mn, Cr, Zr and V are incorporated into a high Mg Al-Mg based alloy comprising 6.0 to 15.0% Mg, and having a high balance of strength-ductility and excellent press formability, further, the content of Cu is regulated, and transition element based precipitates including one or more kinds selected from Mn, Cr, Zr and V are precipitated into crystal grains in the structure of the central part in the sheet thickness of the sheet, thus the electric potential in the crystal grains is reduced, and the electric potential difference between the insides of the crystal grains and the crystal grain boundaries is made small, so as to improve its stress corrosion cracking resistance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
