PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for improving picture quality of a multi-tomographic image comprising a simple X-ray projection image acquired by a panoramic tomography.;SOLUTION: A calculation apparatus 4 for information on a dentition optional tomographic plane is provided with an X-ray absorption coefficient distribution calculating means 233 which uses a first transfer function to show clarity in an X-ray radiation direction defined for each multi-tomographic image and each tomographic plane or a second transfer function to show unclarity by using a first multi-tomographic image corresponding to an object tomographic plane, a second multi-sliced image corresponding to a tomographic plane to be referred to, and uses a second transfer function to show unclarity unknown X-ray absorption coefficient distribution in each tomographic plane of the dentition, and calculates X-ray absorption coefficient distribution in each tomographic plane by resolving a simultaneous equation expressed by a product of both transfer functions and the unknown X-ray absorption coefficient distribution.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
