PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-resistant magnesium alloy excellent in high temperature fatigue strength characteristics, a method of manufacturing the heat-resistant magnesium alloy and heat-resistant parts for an engine manufactured by using the heat-resistant magnesium alloy.;SOLUTION: The magnesium alloy includes, in mass%, Y of 1.8 to 8% and Sm and/or Nd of 1.4 to 8% in total amounts with the remainder consisting of Mg and inevitable impurities. The mean crystal grain size of the crystal grains of a magnesium alloy structure falls within the range of 10 to 50 μm, and 10 or more pieces of plate-like precipitates each having a major axis of 5 μm or more and an aspect ratio of 10 or more are precipitated in the crystal grains.
