PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cargo carrying arm which can hold a cargo without damage thereto eliminating complicated control, and to provide a cargo carrying robot with a cargo carrying arm.;SOLUTION: The body of the cargo carrying robot is provided with a pair of right and left arms, and a front arm 21 is provided with a hand tip 30 for abutting on and supporting a cargo rotatably to a shaft 35. The hand tip 30 has an abutting surface 30A abutting on the cargo, and one end of a torsion coil spring 36 for vertically urging the abutting surface 30A in the longitudinal direction of the front arm 21 is fixed to the hand tip, and the other end of the torsion coil spring 36 is fixed to the front arm 21. The cargo carrying robot moves the front arm 21 so as to allow the abutting surface 30A to abut on the surface of the cargo, and turns the hand tip 30 centering around the shaft 35 in accordance with the direction of the surface of the cargo. With the entire abutting surface 30A being abutted on the surface of the cargo, the front arm 21 is moved to allow the shaft 35 to receive the load of the cargo through the hand tip 30, so that the cargo is moved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
