PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a WXC device capable of eliminating connection restriction between devices in WXC communication, and automating the setting to a port when connecting a fiber to achieve flexible and reliable communication and conduction.;SOLUTION: A WXC device 1 has: a WXC communication function part 5-1 having a plurality of ports connected with a fiber propagating a wavelength multiplex signal; a WXC communication setting value holding part 3-1 selecting a setting value suitable for the port to which the fiber is connected from setting values preliminarily held for the purpose of being set to the respective ports; a connection destination management part 2-1 outputting connection information indicating that the fiber is connected to the port to the WXC communication setting value holding part; and a setting value branch and transmission/reception part 4-1 receiving a fiber connection flag ON outputted from the WXC communication function part when the port and the fiber are connected with each other to generate the connection information, and reflecting the received setting value to the port connected with the fiber.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
