PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an urban design method capable of directly suppressing urban heat island phenomenon.SOLUTION: In an urban design method, an urban area is designed based on a design for constructing space components such as buildings in a site, and a design for selecting color element of sectioned surface for each prescribed range of the space component. The urban design method comprises an elevation design step S1 for preparing a three-dimensional first diorama data 1 with azimuth orientation of the site, the space components, and the color elements; a location information addition step S2 for preparing a second diorama data 2 with the addition of location information 5 of the latitude and longitude of the site for the first diorama data 1; an insolation information addition step S3 for preparing a third diorama data 3 with the addition of insolation information 6 of a prescribed date and time for the second diorama data 2; and an albedo calculation step S4 for calculating the albedo of an urban area based on the third diorama data 3 and the relation of the color element and the reflectivity of the sunlight.
