Body support apparatus, particularly for assisting couples engaging in sexual intercourse comprises a base 1, a generally planar rectangular frame 2,7 which extends from the base at an angle of 40 to 50° and which is spanned, at an upper region, by an elastic, e.g. rubber, support belt 6 that supports the weight of a person. The base and the frame may be detachably connected to one another and may be made from metal tubing. The body support provides a structure that can assist one of the two parties to find an appropriate angle of penetration with the benefit of additional lateral and circular movement while maintaining a vertical momentum to suit both parties. In use, it is envisaged that the elastic belt will support the coccyx and upper buttock region of a user.
