The device has a case connected on positive and negative outputs of a photovoltaic module (1). The case integrates the device to allow construction of a characteristics curve of the photovoltaic module. A half-bridge structure represented by two electronic switches is controlled by a microcontroller to charge or discharge an active load i.e. inductive load. The half-bridge structure measures the characteristic curve of the photovoltaic module. An external control unit is in communication with the measured data.
