Radio communication circuit e.g. entry level cellular modem, preheating method for spatial and military applications, involves performing phase consisting to place amplifier in active state, and stopping phase on detection of stop event
The method involves obtaining measurement of internal temperature (203) of a radio communication circuit. A determination is made to detect (204) whether the measurement is lower than a preset threshold. A preheating phase consisting to place one of a transmitter amplifier and a receiver amplifier of the circuit in an active state is performed if the measurement is lower than the preset threshold. The amplifiers are not dedicated to the heating, and a processor is removed from the heating in the active state. The phase is stopped on the detection of the stop event. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program product comprising a set of instructions for performing a radio communication circuit preheating method (2) a storage medium comprising a set of instructions for performing a radio communication circuit preheating method (3) a circuit for controlling the preheating of a radio communication circuit.
