The method involves placing an electric equipment to be tested on a test bench, where the test bench has a generator for generating disturbances, and a detector for detecting failure of the electric equipment. A failure probability is determined from a specific relationship comprising a resistance rule that provides percentage of parts at a failure limit according to the number of failures, a constraint rule that indicates the probability of occurrence of failures during predetermined life duration and predetermined life duration.
