Air intake system operating method for diesel engine of motor vehicle, involves activating low pressure exhaust gas recirculation device in second operating mode, and high pressure exhaust gas recirculation device in third operating mode
The method involves inhibiting activation of a high pressure exhaust gas recirculation device (45) and a low pressure exhaust gas recirculation device (40) of a supercharged internal combustion engine (10) during a first operating mode of an air intake system (55). The low pressure exhaust gas recirculation device is activated in a second operating mode of the system. The high pressure exhaust gas recirculation device is activated in a third operating mode of the system. The recirculation devices are activated in a fourth operating mode of the system. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer readable data acquisition medium comprising a computer program with a set of instructions for implementing an intake system operating method (2) an intake system of a supercharged internal combustion engine, comprising hardware and/or software units for implementing an intake system operating method.
