The system has sensors (1) i.e. pressure gradient sensors, directly connected to a tube to output unidimensional signals i.e. voltage signals, which represent types of flow (4) confined in the tube. A time-frequency analysis unit (2) provides two-dimensional distribution from the signals, where the distribution corresponds to a function obtained by the product of signals with a function of analysis having a ratio at time and frequency. A neuronal network (3) processes the coefficients of the functions of distribution to identify the types of flows confined in the tube.
