The method involves fabricating a rough printing plate (16), and engraving the plate with an image (14) to be printed. Transversal edges of the plate are cut along a continuous profile at indentations with a joining symmetry at an angle with respect to a plan of the plate. The plate is assembled around a sleeve (12) by rolling. The indentations are overlapped in a joint plane (18). Polymerizing paste is arranged at a right side of the joint plane.
