Computer system for virtualization of interruption-controllers, has monitor for virtual machines providing virtual computer-hardware environment between hardware component and operating systems to generate virtual interruption-controller
The system has a hardware component (200) e.g. CPU, provided with a hardware-interruption-controller (302), and two operating systems (220) for controlling programs. A monitor (210) for virtual machines provides a virtual computer-hardware environment between the hardware component and the operating systems to generate a virtual interruption-controller (312) that corresponds to the hardware-interruption-controller. An exception vector table is provided for processing an exception operation. An interruption handler handles the exception operation. An independent claim is also included for a method for virtualization of interruption-controller in a computer system.
