The box (1) has a heat-resistant iron tray mounted at an iron box lid (8) by blank holders for securing an iron against incineration and falling out using a child-proof closure (10), where the box is made of refractory material. The iron tray is made of heat-proof and heat conducting material and provided with ventilation holes (14) and a scratch-proof coating for protection of an iron sole. The iron sole is secured on the iron tray against slipping by the blank holders, and a rubber or foam material support is attached at the blank holders.
