The platform has floating bodies (3) provided with stilts (4) and a cover (1) carried by the stilts, and coupling devices (11) for coupling a transport container with appropriate counterparts (12). The cover has a conveyor for conveying a product i.e. gas hydrate, into the transport container. The coupling devices are attached to the stilts, and the floating bodies have a drive and ballast tanks for water ballast. A vertical displaceable spring system (9) at vertical guidance systems (10) enables limitation of horizontal degrees of freedom of a buoyant barge (2). An independent claim is also included for a method for passing a product from a swimming platform to a buoyant barge.
