Agricultural machine e.g. hay-making machine, for being connected to tractor for harvesting crop e.g. hay, has control device for controlling work height of rotor based on determined work load indicating characteristics of drive unit
The machine (1) has a drive unit (14) e.g. hydraulic motor, comprising an electromotor (15) for driving a rotor (3) during cultivation and/or harvesting of a crop e.g. hay. A height adjusting device (11) adjusts work height of the rotor relative to the ground. The height adjusting device comprises a determining unit (16) for determining work load indicating characteristics such as drive moment and/or power consumption of the drive unit, and a control device (13) for controlling the work height of the rotor in dependence of the determined characteristic.
