The illuminating unit (1) comprises a transparent glass plate having a float glass plate (2) and an organic light-emitting diode, which consists of a first transparent electrode layer (26), an organic electroluminescent layer (27) and a back electrode layer (28). The organic light-emitting diode is arranged between the transparent float glass plate and a second plate, and is introduced on a first surface of the transparent float glass plate. The first transparent electrode layer contains an oxide or an electrically conductive polymer. The illuminating unit (1) comprises a transparent glass plate having a float glass plate (2) and an organic light-emitting diode, which consists of a first transparent electrode layer (26), an organic electroluminescent layer (27) and a back electrode layer (28). The organic light-emitting diode is arranged between the transparent float glass plate and a second plate, and is introduced on a first surface of the transparent float glass plate. The first transparent electrode layer contains an oxide or an electrically conductive polymer. A second transparent electrode layer is arranged between the first transparent electrode layer and the organic electroluminescent layer. The first transparent electrode layer comprises an inorganic semiconductor material and the second transparent electrode layer comprises an electrically conductive polymer. The first surface of the transparent float glass plate is partially coated with a light-impermeable layer. A housing is arranged on the first surface of the transparent float glass plate. An inner surface of the housing comprises an area diffusively reflecting light beams, where the organic light-emitting diode is arranged in a gap between the housing and the first surface of the transparent float glass plate. The light beams produced from the organic light-emitting diode partially reach into the transparent float glass plate after reflection at the reflecting area. One of the layers is obtained by screen printing. The illuminating unit additionally includes a sensor system. An independent claim is included for a method for producing an illuminating unit.
