Portable training device for use on e.g. wrist for monitoring or testing training performance during sports activity, has processing unit converting data for output signal into signal sequence to generate speech output of data in clear text
The device (10) has a processing unit (24) i.e. processor, determining a desired training performance based on a training point (18), and instantaneous training performance by a global positioning system (GPS) receiver (20) and a clock (22). The processing unit compares the performances and produces an output signal based on the comparison. An output unit (28) e.g. earphone, outputs an output signal. The processing unit converts numerical data for the output signal into a signal sequence for generating speech output of the data in clear text. The device is designed in form of a wrist watch.
