Landing aid device for vertical landing aircrafts, particularly helicopter, has image capturing unit for optical acquisition of spaces directly below a vertical landing aircraft, and evaluation unit
The landing aid device has an image capturing unit (1-a,1-b) for optical acquisition of spaces directly below a vertical landing aircraft (L), and an evaluation unit (2). The evaluation unit is equipped for determining the drift rate of the aircraft from a consequence of images of the spaces by feature comparison of image contents under consideration of actual rotary rate of the aircraft.
