Lighting circuit for operating signal lamp of motor vehicle, has matrixes that radiates lighting surfaces between which distance is formed in on-positions of matrixes, where distance is larger than or equal to preset minimum distance
The circuit (1) has lighting elements (5) i.e. LED chips, interconnected in rows and columns to a matrix (2) for production of a lighting function e.g. stop light function. A lighting element portion (8'') of the matrix and/or another matrix (4) is deactivated by attaching a switch (S3) i.e. transistor, to the element portion. A distance (B) between lighting surfaces (6, 7) radiated by the matrixes is formed in on-positions of the matrixes, respectively, where the distance is larger than or equal to a preset minimum distance. The matrixes are arranged on a common printed circuit board. An independent claim is also included for a method for switching lighting elements of a motor vehicle.
