Method for assigning physical channels of sensor that is utilized for e.g. building illumination system, involves assigning physical channels of sensor to channels of another sensor that are virtually represented in operating program
The method involves operating physical channels (BE1, BE2) of a sensor (S) attached to a bus (KB) e.g. European Installation Bus (EIB), where the sensor sends a signal that clearly identifies the sensor and the operated physical channels. The signal is received from an operating program. The physical channels are assigned to channels (BE1', BE2') of another sensor (S') that are virtually represented in the operating program. The channels of the latter sensor are selected before or after operation of the physical channels and reception of the signal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a sensor comprising physical channels (2) an operating program comprising a program code unit for receiving a signal and assigning physical channels of a sensor (3) a data carrier comprising an operating program for performing a method for assigning physical channels of a sensor.
