The method for the application welding of a material, comprises applying a welding pulse on the material, and treating the material with a conditioning pulse before the application of the welding pulse. The material consists of nickel- or cobalt based alloy. The conditioning pulse is applied on a position of the material to be welded with the welding pulse. The welding pulse and/or the conditioning pulse is applied with laser light or with an individual laser device. The welding pulse has high power than the conditioning pulse. The method for the application welding of a material, comprises applying a welding pulse on the material, and treating the material with a conditioning pulse before the application of the welding pulse. The material consists of nickel- or cobalt based alloy. The conditioning pulse is applied on a position of the material to be welded with the welding pulse. The welding pulse and/or the conditioning pulse is applied with laser light or with an individual laser device. The welding pulse has high power than the conditioning pulse, and the conditioning pulse has a power and/or energy that guides a portion of the material to melting. The conditioning pulse is subjected in the absence of coating material. The pulse length of the conditioning pulse is greater than the pulse length of the welding pulse. Independent claims are included for: (1) a workpiece produced by application welding; and (2) a welding device.
