The method involves providing a shaping device, particularly a bolt with an external profile. The external profile defines a shaped region negatively designed to an inner profile (5) with loose fitting against an inner circumference (6) of the cavity region. The cavity region is formed in a desired machining area extending in longitudinal direction of the semi-finished product. The machining area is discharged, where the shaping device is guided out.
