The method involves detecting environmental parameters from various environments at an installation region of field devices e.g. sensor. A definite position dependent identification of the field devices is generated based on the detected environmental parameters, where the field devices are integrated in bus systems (BS1-BSx). Field bus protocols (FP1-FPx) are communicated with a super-ordinate controlling unit (SE). The definite-position dependent identification is enabled in the super-ordinate controlling unit and provided identical within a predetermined tolerance level.
