The object of the invention is a method for production of organo oligo silsesquioxanes of the general formula (i)[Rsio3/2]z (I)in theR radicals of the general formula (ii)-O - sir12Y (ii),means,by reaction of 100 mol of silicates of the general formula (iii)(W4nosio3/2)z (Iii),with a maximum of 1,3 × 50 × z mole of disiloxane compounds of the general formula (iv),R12Ysi - o - sir12Y (iv),whereinR1 a divalent c1- to c6-Hydrocarbon - or c1- to c6-Alkoxy radical-,Y is a hydrogen atom or a halogen-substituted or not halogen-substituted c1- to c10-Hydrocarbon radical,W is a c1- to c4-Alkyl radical andz is the number 6, 8 or 10,in the presence of a precipitating agent, which is liquid at the reaction temperature and in which at the reaction temperature is at most 1 g of organo oligo silsesquioxanes of the general formula (i) are soluble in 100 ml of precipitant.
