The device has an ionization chamber (2) for detecting doses of particle pulses and arranged in an optical path of particles after a source of pulsed particle beams (1). The source and the chamber are connected with a data processing system (3) such that a signal of the chamber produced by the particle beams is multiplied with a factor depending on the dose and the product represents a pulse dose. The chamber is connected with the processing system such that factors for correcting a partial dose of the pulses are determined from characteristics of the chamber.
