The device (1) has a heated surface (2) for supporting a piece of clothing and designed in a flat, curved, plate or hemispherical shape, where the piece of clothing is stretched and guided on the heated surface with hands for ironing sections of the piece of clothing. The heated surface is arranged on a frame (3) and works together with a protective screen (5) that extends around the surface.
