The invention relates to a method and a device for measuring aerodynamic force components in the contact force measurement between a pantograph and an overhead line. The invention has for its object to correctly measure the contact force of the pantograph to the overhead line over the entire working area. This is achieved according to the invention in that contact forces between the pantograph and the overhead line are recorded directly, including the aerodynamic components. Depending on the further measuring sequence, all measurements can either be carried out directly with this method or the aerodynamic force component can be determined by a comparison with an additional measurement of the cutting forces carried out in parallel.
