Conveyor system i.e. traction sheave lift system, has electric motors converting part of rotational energy into potential energy of system during driving process, where driving process increases potential energy of system
The conveyor system i.e. traction sheave lift system (1), has a drive for driving a traction sheave (5). Electric motors (11, 12) partially convert energy released from a system formed from a lift cage (2) and a counterweight (4), into rotational energy of centrifugal masses (9, 10) during a vertical driving process of the cage, where the driving process decreases potential energy of the system. The electric motors convert a part of the rotational energy into the potential energy of the system during the driving process, where the driving process increases the potential energy of the system. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a conveyor system.
