The device has a reaction chamber limited by a cooling screen (A3), where the cooling screen is surrounded by a pressure shell and is firmly connected with the pressure shell on its lower end, and has a compensator on its upper, burner-side end. The space between cooling screen and the pressure shell is filled with a liquid medium, and the space between cooling screen and pressure shell is impinged with an increased pressure compared to the reaction chamber.
