The structure/structure component (1) has a vibration damping device (6) comprising a vibration damper (9). Two parts of the component are connected with one another by the vibration damper of the vibration damping device such vibrations of one of the parts are damped to the other part. A sensor is provided for detecting deformation values of the former part and provides signal when the deformation values exceed a preset deformation limit value to activate reinforcement function of the vibration damper. The vibration damping device comprises a rubber element (7) and/or springs (8). The vibration damper is designed as a hydraulic vibration damper.
