The fitting has a connecting part (10) with support sleeves (20, 20') that include a free end. An end of a pipe (50) to be connected is pushed via the free end of the support sleeves. Press sleeves (30, 30') are arranged concentric to the support sleeves. The press sleeves are three dimensionally deformable in a press molded ring (34), in order to press the pipe on the support sleeves. A passive or active transponder (40') is manipulated when exceeding a predetermined force exerted on the molded ring, so that signal transmitted by the transponder is altered.
