The device has a polarizer (P) for overlapping optical paths of pulsed input laser radiations with different wavelengths and repetition rates, and a non-linear crystal (SHG) positioned such that non-linear interaction of the radiations is enabled. A quarter-wave plate (2) is arranged in the optical paths between the polarizer and the crystal and tilted around 45 degrees with respect to a direction determined by the polarizer. The quarter-wave plate shifts pulses in one of the radiations around a time period with respect to pulses in the other radiations. An independent claim is also included for a method for increasing repetition rate of laser pulses.
