FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used in endoscopic surgery. In course of endoscopic operation in order to measure dimensions of hernial orifice or zone with several hernial orifices sterile lavsan thread is taken. Indenting 1 cm from one end of thread, knot is tied. Through trocar thread is introduced into abdominal cavity. Two soft endoscopic clips, one of which is provided with rack mechanism, are introduced into abdominal cavity. Clip without rack mechanism is used to take thread end 1 cm long to knot. Thread is passed to hernial orifice in such a way that knot is located near its border, if there is one orifice, or near the border of extreme orifice of zone if there are several. After that by means of clip with rack mechanism thread is stretched in hernial orifice or through several hernial orifices by the greatest size on orifice length or zone. Thread is fixed in clip with rack mechanism. Clip without rack mechanism is opened, releasing end of thread with knot, and by means of clip with rack mechanism thread is removed from abdominal cavity. By means of sterile ruler distance between tied knot and clip branches, fixing thread, is measured. Dimensions of hernial orifice or zone with several orifices on length are obtained. Thread is re-introduced into abdominal cavity and similar manipulations are carried out in order to measure the greatest dimension on width. 2-4 cm are added to obtained measurements and dimensions of mesh implant are obtained.;EFFECT: method makes it possible to measure any configuration of hernial orifice and select transplant of optimal size.;2 ex
