FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: according to the method, a coating with a circular shape formed on at least one test area is periodically rolled by wheels. The area comprises the following units - a stand with at least one pair of radially directed structures, kinematically linked with a propulsion device, which functionally form a dynamic system, a stand control centre lying in the central part of the area of a base platform on which there is drive installation, commutatively linked to the control centre and kinematically linked to the propulsion device of the working structures. The propulsion device is structurally and technically adapted to ensure rotational motion of said structures. Each structure of the stand includes a dynamic unit fitted with a cowling and a wheel, placed with possibility of dynamic action on the coating during its rolling, and a basic unit adapted to kinematically communicate with the dynamic unit and the propulsion device. The dynamic unit used is the front suspension of a vehicle. The kinematic connection of each basic unit of working structures of the stand with the dynamic unit is provided through an additional removable unit, and with the propulsion device - through hinges. The basic and additional units of the working structures are fitted with cowlings. The stand is fitted with apparatus for smooth braking and acceleration. The weight of all of the said links of each working structure, including cowlings, is selected based on the condition of ensuring the value of the dynamic load on the side of the wheel of the dynamic unit on the road surface which is similar to the load value provided by the wheel of the vehicle in real conditions.
