Ethylacetate fractions of Duchesnea chrysantha are provided to inhibit interleukin 4 and 6 production, TARC(thymus and activation- regulated chemokine) secretion, MCP-1(chemoattractant protein-1) production and mast cell migration, and minimize cytotoxicity, so that the fractions are useful for improving or treating allergic disease such as atopic dermatitis. A pharmaceutical composition for improving or treating skin disease selected from atopic dermatitis, acnes, general dermatitis and athlete's foot comprises an ethylacetate fraction of Duchesnea chrysantha, which is prepared by extracting Duchesnea chrysantha with alcohol at room temperature or increased temperature, extracting the alcohol extract of Duchesnea chrysantha with ethylacetate, and separating the mixture into an ethylacetate layer and an aqueous layer with a fractionation funnel, and optionally Houttuynia cordata Thunb.
