PURPOSE: A tunnel type riverbed filtration system using a riverbed tunnel and a horizontal header pipe is provided to improve the safety of a facility in disaster including flood. CONSTITUTION: A tunnel type riverbed filtration system using a riverbed tunnel and a horizontal header pipe comprises a riverbed tunnel, a horizontal header pipe, a check valve or a control valve(23), a water supply pipe, and a water supply pump. The riverbed tunnel crosses the river. The horizontal header pipe is located on the bed rock of the lower part of the deposition layer. The horizontal header pipe collects filtered water filtered by the deposition layer. The check valve or the control valve is located at the end of the horizontal header pipe. The check valve or the control valve controls the flow rate of the filtered water discharged in the horizontal header pipe.
