PURPOSE: A method for preparing nano precipitated calcium carbonate using wasted dust from a steelworks is provided to obtain the calcium carbonate to be capable of being recycled by successively implementing a high temperature sintering process, a hydration reaction, and a carbonation reaction.;CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing nano precipitated calcium carbonate using wasted dust from a steelworks includes the following: Quicklime is obtained by sintering wasted dust from a steel works. A hydration reaction is implemented with respect to the quicklime in order to obtain calcium hydroxide. Carbon dioxide is injected into the calcium hydroxide to obtain nano precipitated calcium carbonate. The sintering process is implemented for 1 to 3 hours at a temperature between 900 and 1500 degrees Celsius. The rate of the sintering process is between 5 and 15 degrees Celsius/min. The hydration reaction is implemented for 30 minutes at a temperature between 20 and 27 degrees Celsius.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
