DEGRADATION METHOD OF CHLORINATED ALIPHATIC HYDROCARBONS BY MODIFIED FENTON REACTION

摘要

PURPOSE: A method for decomposing a chlorine-based aliphatic compound based on a modified fenton reaction is provided to rapidly process contaminants by easily decomposing a non-degradable chlorine-based compound under a neutral condition. CONSTITUTION: Cross-linked chitosan is chelated with Fe(II) to obtain chitosan-Fe(II) complex. The chitosan-Fe(II) complex and an oxidizing agent are used to oxidize a chlorine-based aliphatic compound. An oxidizing process is implemented using an aqueous solution, in which pH thereof is in a range between 5 and 7. The oxidizing agent is hydrogen peroxide, and the chlorine-based aliphatic compound includes trichloroethylene. The cross-linked chitosan is obtained using a glutaraldehyde cross-linking agent.
