PURPOSE: A feature point registering device for image-based location recognition and a method thereof are provided to embody AR(Augmented Reality) on the basis of the location recognition of an image-based robot more effectively.;CONSTITUTION: A camera(10) obtains an image. A feature point extractor(20) extracts a feature point from the obtained image. A calculation unit(40) divides the feature point into a 2D corner and a 3D corner and calculates the depth information of the feature point. A registry unit(60) registers the 3D coordinates of the feature point using the depth information of the feature point and the image coordinates of the feature point.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
