PURPOSE: A SMS(Short Message Service) message perception method and mobile communication terminal are provided to solve a problem that can not receive incoming SMS messages or that is delayed in case an unusual signal is received while a mobile communication terminal receives the SMS message. ;CONSTITUTION: A signal sensing unit(110) senses a signaling disconnection signal receiving in a second control protocol response signal none receiving state while the signal sensing unit arranges the SMS message receiving. The signal sensing unit transmits the signaling disconnection signal to a state controller(120). The state controller terminates a timer and a counter for a retransmission of a second control protocol data in case the signaling disconnection signal is detected in the second control protocol response signal none receiving state.
