PURPOSE: A navigation method and a navigation device using sector-based image matching are provided to rapidly and accurately move a robot from a current spot to a reference spot through sector-based image matching. ;CONSTITUTION: A navigation method using sector-based image matching is as follows. The reference position value of a landmark is calculated by photographing the landmark at a reference spot and dividing the photographed image into multiple first sections(S110). The landmark is photographed at a current spot, and the photographed image is divided into multiple second sections(S120). When a robot is moved from the current spot to the specific section, the changed image of the second sections is estimated according to each random spot(S130). The estimated position value of the landmark is calculated depending on the estimated image, the random spots, and the second sections(S140).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
