PURPOSE: Energy recovering apparatus and method of a natural gas hydrostatic facility are provided to prevent the icing of high pressure natural gas by using heat generated from the operation of a fuel cell as a heat source. CONSTITUTION: An energy recovering apparatus of a natural gas hydrostatic facility comprises the following: a gas inlet(A) connected to a gas source for receiving high pressure gas; a gas outlet(E) discharge decompressed gas; a pipe interlinking the gas inlet and the gas outlet; a turbo-generator connected to the pipe for transforming the pressure of the gas into electric energy; and a fuel cell heat-exchanger increasing the gas flowing inside the pipe for using the heat for preventing the icing by the expansion of the gas.
