PURPOSE: A method for evaluating scholars and scholarly events using scholarly event data is provided to enable measuring evaluation and recommendation of good scholarly events about scholars and scholarly events even though a used index or a using index of a paper is not used. CONSTITUTION: A method for evaluating scholars and scholarly events using scholarly event data comprises the following steps. Scholarly event data collected about opened domestic or international scholarly events are normalized in a specific structure and stored(S110). A position index of the scholar is calculated based on the stored scholarly event data(S120). The position index of the scholarly event is calculated based on the stored scholarly event data(S130). A corresponding scholar or scholarly event are evaluated based on the calculated position indexes(S140).
