Groups (6) 0f filter segments (1-5) are arranged together to form multi-segment filters in a long line. of tobacco. Each multi-segment filter consists of at least two different kinds of filter segments .Each group comprises all the filter segments to make at least one multi segment filter. The group of filter segments is divided into at least two partgroups (7,8) by axially lengthwise adjacent filter segments.
